Rules and Regulations of the 2010 SA Equine Forum Online Show
The rules of this photo competition are simple!
The online show is for horse owners worldwide - so no matter your location - you are welcome to enter!
REAL Ribbons will be awarded for first, second and third placegetters, champion, reserve champion and supreme - these will be posted out to you after the judging has taken place.
We are using judges who are well respected in the horse world.
All proceeds of the 2010 South Australian Equine Forum Online Show will go towards the running of the SA Equine Forum, prizes for the forum and to help with the costs involved in having actual classes and rings at shows around South Australia.
You may enter the same photograph in more than one section if the horse fits the description of the class.
NO RIBBONS on the horses necks or bodies please. NO photoshopping or altering the horse at all please. You MAY photoshop out a rein or tree sticking out of the horses head - but the actual horse should have NO digital alteration done at all.
If you have a great photo of your horse as a foal - you may enter it in the appropriate class dependant on the age of the horse IN the photo. ie: Your now 18 yr old mare, but you have a lovely photo of her as a weanling - pop that photo of her in the weanling class for her breed.
In the Breed Classes, your horse must be registered with its breed society unless the class states that it doesnt require registration. Your registration number must be included with your entry, and spot checks will be done to make sure that the horse is registered with your relevant society and that you are a current financial member with your society.
If your breed is not included in the list of breeds, please feel free to contact us and we will pop it in.
We will also have an Unregistered section for Ponies (under 14hh when mature), Galloways (14hh not exceeding 15hh when mature), and Horses (15hh and over when mature). Where possible we will break these into types or breeds - for example - if we get 6 entries that are unregistered Clydesdales or Percherons - we will have an Unregistered Heavy Horse class. So if your horse is not registered - you can still enter!!
Photographs must have copyright approval and any photographs taken by professional photographers (with a photographers mark on them) must have approval for their use sent along with your entry.
Photos should be restricted to no more than 500kb in size preferably... or 600 pixels wide at most.
Entries will appear on this website as soon as payment of your entry fees has cleared.
You may pay your entries via paypal or direct deposit.
Good clear photographs are what you need to enter as they will show your horse off at its best. Your horse may or may not be plaited - presentation is up to you and dependant on the class its entered in.
The judges decision is final and no discussion will be entered into.
Entry Fees are Aus$4 per class, or Aus$40 for 10 to 15 classes entered. More than 15 classes entered its $40 plus $4 per additional class. Entry Fees must be paid at time of entry. Entrys without fees paid will not be accepted. A receipt of deposit must accompany the entry if submitting by email.
